Danielle Bierzynski has worked in the field of education for nearly 20 years. She works in the areas of adult learning, psychoanalytic reflexive practice, theories of curriculum and instruction, psychoanalytic theories of human development, and issues of race and equity to support districts, schools, and teachers with some of their most critical problems as it relates to curriculum and instruction. She has worked in various spaces in education including the classroom, non-profits and both the public and private sectors. She has also done work for the state of Maryland, facilitating root-causes analyses with priority schools to support in their strategic planning for improving academic achievement. She has served as a reviewer and has presented at several conferences, including the American Educational Research Association (AERA). She also served as the chair of the Graduate Student Committee for the American Association for the Advancement of Curriculum Studies.
She currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Thurgood Marshall Academy in Washington, DC.
