Welcome Back Program Meetings - Open to all students
-
A&S will welcome a new cohort of 21 students from Suffolk County Public Schools. As their advisor, I will offer an orientation for these students on January 14th to include "business matters" as it relates to the program as well as an opportunity to get to know their cohort members. All of our students are full-time educators who currently teach online, and are aware our program will be offered online for the spring, moving to our more traditional hybrid model as permitted.
A separate session is being scheduled for different cohort groups.

Spring 2021 Resources
-
All undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in courses for the Spring 2021 term, and who have successfully completed a FAFSA (available at fafsa.ed.gov) for the 2020-2021 academic year, can request funding for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the pandemic. Please note that Winter/Spring CARES Act funding is limited and each student may submit only one application during this time period.
Emergency Funding - UVA Cares Act -
As you prepare for the Spring 2021 semester, please make sure to visit our Student Resource page which outlines resources related to academics, financial and technology support, peer connections and mental health: These resources are a direct response to a School of Education and Human Development student survey.
EHD Student Resource Page -
Students new to the Canvas learning management system should visit our Canvas New User Guide to see the top five things you must know about Canvas. Even if you have used Canvas before, consider reviewing this resource. Every school can set up Canvas slightly differently!

SDAC’s goal is to ensure that all students at UVA can participate fully in UVA programming and opportunities across Grounds. We achieve this goal through the provision of academic accommodations, support services, advocacy, and educational training throughout the University community. Our work is guided in accordance to the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
