Shannon Kontalonis

Shannon Kontalonis serves as the center administrator for EdPolicyWorks, a joint collaboration between the School of Education and Human Development and the Frank Batten School of Public Policy. In this role, Kontalonis oversees both day-to-day operations, as well as strategic processes related to finances, events, marketing, and human resources. Previously, she has held a variety of positions that include employer relations at UVA’s Career Center, event manager for an educational travel company, and five years in the classroom as a kindergarten teacher.

When not utilizing her vast organizational skills at work, Kontalonis is either spending time baking in her homebased commercial kitchen, finding new dogs to pet, attempting to cook, or planning events for her family and friends.
