Biography

Pilar Alamos Valenzuela’s research focuses on classroom processes that contribute to the social and emotional development of young children, particularly for children whom teachers perceive as behaviorally challenging. She is especially interested in identifying specific practices that teachers engage in that are linked to improved quality of teacher-child interactions. She has also conducted work investigating the interplay between teachers' well-being and teacher-child relationships.
