Biography
Katlyn Reynolds graduated from the University of Florida (UF) with a bachelor of science in psychology. During her time at UF, she was a research assistant working with children and adolescents with obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety disorders. She also gained data collection experience administering mental health surveys to middle school students. After graduating from UF, Reynolds became a coordinator for an online mental health care company. After gaining valuable experience, she transferred to an online counselor role within the same company.
While working as a counselor, she pursued a graduate degree in mental health. While completing her degree, she worked as a research assistant studying the use of virtual reality among participants with mental disorders. After graduating, she decided to gain more research experience.
Reynolds is now a research specialist working on the RULER study. She assists with data collection, recruitment, and communication with stakeholders for the benefit of the research. In her role, she will be trained with the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) tool for upper elementary. Reynolds is excited to make an impact on teacher and student well-being while making connections at UVA.
