Julie Gray works with educators and administrators in the Central Virginia region, bringing professional development opportunities to practitioners in the field through teaching graduate literacy education courses, consulting with school districts to support literacy initiatives, and partnering with schools and communities to improve literacy in our region through literacy program audits, tutoring programs, and ongoing professional development. In the summer, Gray supervises a reading clinic that serves our region by providing tutoring services for at-risk students. She is involved in our local reading council and serves on the board of the Virginia State Reading Association.
