Jennifer Cornell

As senior director, major gifts, Jenn Cornell delights in building lasting relationships with alumni, parents, and friends of the School. She helps prospective donors leverage their passion for education and human development by investing in the School’s mission in a variety of ways. As the daughter and granddaughter of educators, Cornell is humbled to identify new sources of financial support for the students, faculty, and staff of the School of Education and Human Development.

Cornell joined the School’s Foundation in 2017. She previously ran her own consulting firm, serving a variety of higher ed, nonprofit, for-profit, and government clients. Cornell spent twenty years in the for-profit business world, in a variety of marketing, operations, and project management leadership roles in Richmond, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. Jenn is a member of Virginia Fund Raising Executives (VAFRE).

A native of Connecticut, Cornell lives in Richmond with her husband, Todd, where they love hiking and biking along the James River. Together with their three (mostly) adult children, Drew, Brad, and Grace, they enjoy attending professional and college sporting events and live music concerts, and traveling.
