Biography

Amy Spiker is an experienced elementary teacher, instructional coach, and reading specialist. At the University of Wyoming, Spiker served as a senior lecturer in education (literacy) and held a variety of leadership positions including being named executive director of the Literacy Research Center and Clinic. She was an associate professor at Abilene Christian University before moving to Virginia.

Amy Spiker has taught courses related to educational foundations and literacy at the undergraduate and graduate levels and has supervised clinical experiences for pre-service teachers. She has worked with schools on school-wide improvement initiatives and engages in qualitative research related to teaching.
